We have believed that the value of built structures exists in the people who create memories and live in them. We completed over 1,000 projects over the years. We build to have an impact and to improve the community. When you build something big and see the work completed, you cannot feel successful until you see people experience your work. At the moment, we believe we are making a difference in people’s lives. The importance of our work is measured not by the work itself but by the value it adds to the community. Since 1983

Shimico was established in 1983 in Giza, Egypt, and has been a trusted name in the construction industry for over four decades. In 1993, we became a proud member of the Egyptian Federation of Construction and Building Contractors, holding membership number 584, shortly after the union’s founding in 1992. Today, the federation has grown to include more than 270,000 members, and Shimico continues to stand out as a reliable and committed contributor.

Throughout the years, we have actively participated in major national development projects that improve the lives of citizens, including road reconstruction, Giza Square renovations, and large-scale road lighting initiatives. Our work is always guided by one principle — we build for people.

Details

1993

Shimico established

1985-1989

Establishment of five health projects for the Ministry of Health, at a value of 4.8 million Egp, including Tahrir Hospital, and a medicalcenter

1990-1992

More than ten projects have been established and developed for the benefit of the governorates of Cairo and Giza, including painting bridges and tunnels in Cairo, walling the Nile Corniche, and car parking.

1993

Become a member of the Egyptian Federation of Construction and Building Contractors EFCBC. The union was founded in 1992, and the company joined immediately afterward in 1993, with a membership of 584.

1996

The EFCBC classification of the company has been upgraded to the second EFCBC category of construction works, and first EFCBC category of architectural finishes.

2000

Building of 650 housing units in New Cairo, including distinguished housing, youth housing, and future housing, with sizes ranging from 63 metres to 70 metres to 100 metres, at a cost of more than 13million pounds.

2004

Construction of 11 schools, consisting of 6 schools in Sharkia Governorate and 5 schools in Ismailia Governorate, with a value of 12 million pounds in Kuwaiti financing

2010

Establishing Al-Warraq Central Hospital with a bed capacity of 80 beds, 2 operating rooms, and a value of 20 million pounds

2014-2017

The new National Heart Institute on Imbaba Airport land costs 25 million pounds and covers 4200 square meters, including a HUPRID operating room (catheterization –
open heart).

2019-2025

Developing the National Nutrition Institute at a value of 22 million pounds , Banque Misr Malahy branch and more than 40 projects consisting of retail,
banking, and commercial with a total value exceeding 30 million pounds.
